Spring Sales for Conservation Purposes of Trees and Pond Fish

The Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is taking orders for trees. The trees offered this year are White Pine, Norway Spruce, Sycamore, Black Oak and Sugar Maple. The varieties are available in bundles of ten. The cost is $17.00 per bundle. We do not mix the varieties in a bundle; a bundle has one variety of trees.  March 31, 2010 is the deadline to place and pay for your order. The trees can be picked up April 8th and April 9th.  The pick up location is the USDA Service Center parking lot at 7205 Marine Road, Edwardsville.

The SWCD is also taking orders for a pond fish sale. This sale is for pond fish owners that have an established fish population and need to supplement some species. The species available are Channel Catfish, Redear, Bluegill, Hybrid Sunfish, Largemouth Bass and Crappie. The deadline to order and pay for the fish is March 31, 2010. The pick up date is Saturday, April 17th .
